SPECIALTY MUSCLE and CORVETTE SHOW TO HIT CHICAGO
Preparations
are well under way for a new show that will be coming to the Donald E. Stephens
Convention Center in Rosemont, (greater Chicago), Illinois. The Nickey
Chicago Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, Presented by Bill
Stasek Chevrolet, will take place November 21-22, 2009 at the popular
suburban Chicago convention center.
Led by a
group of prominent Musclecar and Supercar collectors and the former Show
Manager of the Chevy Vettefest, this show will have a strong emphasis on the
country's most sought after and rare Muscle Cars and Corvettes. “I have
learned a lot from my past years managing the Chevy Vettefest and other custom
car shows”, stated Managing Partner, Bob Ashton. “The group we have put
together has many years of experience owning, racing, buying, selling and
driving some of the finest cars in the world. Being able to utilize this
hands-on experience, along with the incredible knowledge among the group, is
sure to guarantee the finest show of its kind.
Expect to
see a wide variety of dealer-built Supercars from the likes of Nickey, Mr.
Norm's, Royal, Yenko, Motion and others. Along with these rarities, you will
find the Triple Diamond display, which will chronicle the history of the
Corvette featuring only the very best. To be a part of the Triple Diamond
display and competition, entrants must first provide proof of achieving both
Bloomington Gold /r status and an NCRS Top Flight award. Considered the
toughest awards to achieve, this assures a quality display and demands intense
judging.
This all
indoor event is open to all makes of American Muscle. Expect to see
Hemis, Bosses, COPO's, and all of the letter and number combinations we have
grown to covet, like L88, 6-Pack, Mach One and of course Super Stock and more.
A variety of
national and local vendors will be on hand offering their wares. With a
conventional swap meet that is limited to automotive parts and services, you
can expect to find everything from heads and intakes to upholstery, body panels
and even nuts and bolts. Tools, automotive collectibles and wearables along
with detailing supplies are also featured.
The car show
area will also feature a wide array of commercial vendors. Again, limited to
automotive related businesses, you will find some of the country's most
respected restorers, national magazines, parts suppliers and more. If you don't
find it here...you aren't looking hard enough!

In the collectible Corvette world, there is
nothing quite like the feeling of achieving accolades and recognition for all
of the hard work and dedication. Obtaining an NCRS Top Flight award is no easy
task and the intensity of owners vying for Bloomington Gold/r certification is
unsurpassed.
After achieving these prestigious awards and
certification, the next step for the Corvette owner is to be a part of the
Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals Triple Diamond Corvette competition and
certification process. To be a part of this intense competition, candidates
must first submit proof of obtaining NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington
Gold/r certification within the past five years. These restored or original
Corvettes are truly the best of the best.
Triple Diamond Corvette candidates are judged
on a 1,000 point scale with deductions taken for any deviations from how the
vehicle left the assembly line. A team of highly trained Corvette specialists,
led by acknowledged Corvette authority Bill Braun, pore over every square inch
of the vehicle; inside, outside and underneath. Checking date codes, part
numbers, fit and finish techniques and more, assure that any Corvette that is
able to make the cut is truly one of the world's best.
The Nickey Chicago Muscle Car and Corvette
Nationals, presented by Bill Stasek Chevrolet, is proud to be able to provide
what many will consider the “Crowning Achievement” for the Corvette
enthusiast. With a limit of fifty entrants, the Triple Diamond Corvette Gallery
and competition is sure to be sold out well in advance of the show.
If you own a restored or original Corvette
that has achieved NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold/r certification,
please consider joining us November 21-22, 2009. A beautiful Crystal like
engraved award, along with a certificate and registration in the Muscle Car and
Corvette Nationals Triple Diamond Registry, will be presented to participants
who are judged 95% or better on a percentage of points basis.
Registration for the Muscle Car and
Corvette Nationals Triple Diamond competition is now open and is strictly
