Last 2019 C7 Corvette Rolls off Production Line

The last Chevrolet Corvette 2019 C7 rolled off the production line on November 14, 2019, at the Bowling Green, Kentucky plant. It was previously auctioned for $2.7 million with proceeds going to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to build smart homes for veterans.

1963 ZO6 Test – Video

FOLLOW US Legendary Zora Arkus Duntov handpicked top Corvette racers to test drive the all-new 1963 ZO6 Corvette Stingray. He chose Dave MacDonald and Dick Thompson. On June 29 through July 1, 1962, Zora held a three-day media event. This historic test was used in a GM promotional video titled Biography of a Sports Car and was distributed around the globe as part of GM’s ’63 sales campaign. First Four 1963 ZO6s Given to Racers Two months later GM presented the first four 1963 Z06 Corvettes off the line to renowned Corvette racers Dave MacDonald, Bob Bondurant, Doug Hooper & Jerry Grant – it was decided MacDonald would receive VIN#684, the very first. Rare 1954 Corvette Bubble Top

Today we are looking back at a rare 1954 Corvette Bubble Top. GM styling chief Harley Earl commissioned approximately 20 plastic bubble canopy tops for the 1954 Corvette, most of which went to special customers and dealers.  The C1 Corvettes (first-generation)did not have a factory hardtop configuration. The base Corvette cost $2774.00. There were bubble tops for the early Corvettes produced by a handful of aftermarket companies including Model Builders of Chicago, Plasticon and Scottop of California. The bubble tops were crafted from plexiglass and provided taller drivers a tad more headroom in the cockpit. These ran around $500. 1954 Corvette History Chevrolet began production of the 1954 model Corvettes from its freshly refurbished St. Louis plant on December 28, 1954, after projecting sales of 10,000 units per year.  But,

These appeared in Vette Vues Rear Vues Column in 2014.  That year the 1964 Corvette was celebrating its 50th anniversary. Before we look at the 1964 Corvette Magazine Advertisements lets look at a little history . . . The World’s Fair was also held in New York City in 1964. The theme was “Peace through Understanding,” and dedicated to “Man’s Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe.” The fair ran for two years, April 22 – October 18, 1964, and April 21 – October 17, 1965, with over 51 million people attending.
